Le Kitch serves as a co-operative "food incubator" providing mentorship, support, and a place entrepreneurs can call home. We are focused and driven to maintaining partnerships and supporting individuals from Montreal through food-based programs and initiatives. Our mission is to support and grow the local economic development of various food projects in the community through hands on engagement, education, and practicing sustainability throughout the Greater Montreal Region.
What is a food incubator?
A “food-incubator” is the shared-use of commercial kitchens by emerging food entreprenuers to commercially produce food products. In addition to the physical space, kitchen incubators may support entrepreneurs with mentorship and business training, certification programs, bulk purchasing, shared branding, access to financing, and established points of sale. These supports differentiate the incubators from other forms of shared kitchens, such as off-hour restaurants or church rentals.
